The Hawthorne Effect, also called the Observer Effect, is where people in studies change their behavior because they are being watched. This story plays with the somatic response that comes from the realization of being watched within our own homes. Are we curating an experience in order for a second party to develop contained judgements about us? What does this say about our desire for control?
